Riding bikes a long way to raise money

My Story

On 10pm on Wednesday 8th July, I'll be setting off from West London on my bike headed for Anglesey, where the plan is to turn round and head back. To make it spicy, I need to be cover the 1,017km (probably more given my recent navigational foibles) in 75 hours. I will be one of 50 or so competitors in the aptly named London-Anglesey-London Audax.

This is to raise money for The Movement Centre - the people responsible for getting our son Freddie to walk, they are a collection of specialists dedicated to improving the lives of children with movement disabilities through specialist physiotherapy provision. Freddie was born with Cerebral Palsy along with a range of other additional needs, it was only through two years of targeted training at the Movement Centre that he finally took his first steps at 3 and a half years of age. A life enhancing skill that most of us take for granted.

As a charity, they are dependent on donations to underpin the work, hence trying to raise some funds to allow them to offer their treatment to more children

The goal - I'd like to raise £1,017
