About

We’re used to reaching the high notes - now we’re taking it to new heights at 100mph - and there's no warm-up for this one!

On 9th May, some of our choristers from Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir will be stepping far outside their comfort zone and launching themselves down the Velocity Zipline over Penrhyn Quarry, the fastest zipline in Europe, reaching speeds of up to 100mph.

This isn’t just a challenge. It’s a moment of courage, a test of nerve, and all for something far bigger than the thrill. We’re doing it for The Movement Centre - a cause that holds a very special place in our hearts.
For over 25 years, The Movement Centre has been transforming the lives of children with movement disabilities through their specialist Targeted Training therapy. This pioneering approach helps children gain control of their movement — from holding their head up, to sitting, standing, and in some cases even taking their very first steps.

Their work doesn’t just change what a child can do, it changes what’s possible for their future. Greater independence, more confidence, and a better quality of life for both the child and their family.

Thanks to incredible fundraising support, they’ve even reached the milestone of offering fully funded therapy, removing financial barriers for families who need it most, but they rely entirely on donations to keep this life-changing work going.

We’ve set a target of £3,000… but we’d love to smash it 💥

Our Zipliners are:

Graham Kendall, Gareth Edwards, Gordon Urquhart,Ken Benbow, Mark Walmsley, Paul Healey, Ray Jones, Roger Williams, Rob Edwards, Simon Atkinson
